What is a visa?
A visa is an entry permit for foreign travelers to a certain country. Today, citizens of EU countries can enter Europe in most cases even without a visa. However, many states outside the EU require foreign travelers to obtain a visa for a certain period of stay in the country. The visa is usually stamped in the passport.
What are the types of visas?
Not all visas are the same - each country uses different types of visas to categorize its visitors depending on their intentions. If one is traveling to a destination country for a limited period of time, a tourist visa can usually be bypassed. However, if the traveler plans to work, study, or engage in other activities in the country, they need to obtain the appropriate permits such as a work or student visa. In addition, many countries have special visa requirements for journalists, members of film crews, and for humanitarian or project stays. You can find out what exactly lies behind the different visa categories and why a work visa is not the same as a business visa, for example, in the individual overview on our homepage. You will also find detailed country-specific descriptions of all visa types on the pages of our website.
For what countries do I need a visa?
Whether you need a visa depends on, among other things, your nationality, the length of your stay and the purpose of your trip. Check our pages in advance to find out whether you need a visa. If you are not sure, please contact us by phone or e-mail. We will be happy to advise you!
Choosing the right type of visa - what do I need to consider?
If you are planning a trip to a country that requires a visa, it is important to answer a few questions due to the variety of visas. The following points should be clarified before applying for a residence permit:
- What is the purpose of my trip?
- How long do I plan to stay?
- Will I enter and exit more than once?
- What are the entry requirements for my destination country?
- How and where can I obtain a visa?
- Can I provide all the necessary documents?
Note: We strongly advise against selecting a visa based on unofficial information from the Internet. Consulates and immigration authorities require very specific proof from travelers. In addition to an application form and a valid passport, an invitation is one of the most important documents for obtaining a residence permit in many countries that require a visa. Confirmation of airline or hotel reservations is not enough in these cases. What the invitation letter should look like depends on the country and the type of visa.
Where can I apply for a visa?
There are different ways to apply for a visa, depending on the rules of your chosen destination country. One common option is to apply for a visa at the Consulate or Embassy in the host country. If the application is approved, the traveler receives a corresponding stamp in their passport - usually in the form of a stamp or sticker. Some countries, such as India, offer the option to apply for an e-visa online through a website. Sometimes the traveler only receives the visa at the destination. Visa service from Buch-Dein-Visum: As an accredited visa agency, we will personally take care of the authorization to enter the country of your choice. How often can I enter and leave the country on a visa?
The frequency of entry and exit depends on the types of entry available (single entry, double entry or multiple entry), which also depend on the country and visa. Generally, you have the choice of entering a country once, twice or more than once. For example, if you apply for a multiple-entry visa, you can enter the country several times during the validity period of your visa.
What is the difference between visa validity and authorized period of stay?
The validity period starts from the day on which the visa was issued and defines the period during which the traveler must enter the country. The duration of stay, on the other hand, refers to the number of days a traveler can stay in the country of destination.
What does the addition “inclusive invitation” mean?
For some countries (e.g. Russia, China, Iran) or visa types, we suggest that you order your visa with an invitation through us. This means that you do not have to worry about getting the invitation required for your visa, as we will take care of this for you.

Invitation - what is it?
An invitation letter is also often referred to as an invitation letter, voucher or visa support letter. It is proof of the reason for your stay in the destination country. Countries that require a visa often require a letter of invitation from a host country, which is mandatory for visa applications. The host can be, for example, the private person you wish to visit or the company you work for abroad. For some countries we already offer a visa “with invitation” from König Tours.
I received the wrong invitation - what should I do?
Unfortunately, you cannot change or correct invitations that have already been issued. However, if your invitation is incorrect, you have the option to purchase a new invitation through us.
Do I need health insurance while abroad?
Whether you need compulsory international health insurance to obtain a visa depends on the country of destination. For example, you cannot enter Russia or Algeria without valid international health insurance. However, even if you are not required to prove it, it is recommended that you take out valid international health insurance for the entire duration of your trip.
