Traveling with a business visa
Business Visa – What is it?
Many travelers embark on tours for business reasons and require a so-called business visa. Booming economic nations such as China in particular, but also Russia and India, maintain a lively exchange with European business partners. For many companies today, international business relationships and contacts are a decisive success factor.
If you also intend to actively participate in conferences, symposia, trade fairs or private business meetings abroad, we will be happy to help you prepare your trip. The same applies to business trips in a destination country requiring a visa as for tourists: As a rule, you will need an official invitation from your host and a number of other documents to obtain a residence permit.
Depending on the country you are traveling to, your intention and your local contact, it may take a lot of time and patience to apply for an invitation letter. The issuing companies require a valid license. Often the responsible foreign ministry must also be involved in the approval process. To give you the opportunity to plan your business trips more easily and at short notice, our visa service will take care of your visa matters. This gives you time to take care of all your other travel arrangements.
Depending on the invitation, you have the option of entering a country once, twice or several times on business. In the latter case, it is sufficient to leave for a neighboring country in order to continue your business meetings afterwards. This means that there are no long waiting times for ongoing negotiations. Unlike tourist visas, you often have the option of deducting the business visa from your taxes. A second advantage over the tourist visa is the longer possible duration of stay.
The business visa should not be confused with the work visa. It does not entitle you to take up employment with a foreign company on site.

What documents are required to apply for the visa?
As far as the documents are concerned, the business visa is similar to the tourist visa. In addition to the official invitation and the visa application, the original passport must usually be submitted to the visa department of the consulate or embassy. The other documents to be submitted vary depending on the visa regulations of the respective country.
