Apply for Nepal visa online now
Nepal with its capital Kathmandu has been a republic since 2008 and no longer a kingdom. The landlocked country requires a Nepal visa upon entry, which must be applied for at the relevant embassy or consulate beforehand. However, as an applicant for a Nepal visa, you are free to authorize a third party to obtain your entry permit. As an accredited visa agency, we are happy to take care of the visa procurement for you. Take your time to prepare for your trip while we handle the communication with the relevant Nepalese foreign missions. Benefit from home delivery and a checking service. Our experienced staff will consult with you if your document package is incomplete. For a small processing fee, the visa service will even assist with filling out the application forms for you. Additional services include, for example, foreign health insurance coverage. We offer individual solutions for your travel planning. At Buch-Dein-Visum, we provide you with all the necessary information for your trip to Nepal, e.g. to Kathmandu.

Information about visa types
Visas for Nepal can be divided into several categories: The most popular visa types are the tourist visa for holiday trips to Kathmandu or private visits and the business visa for negotiations or attending business events. For other travel purposes such as study stays or transits to neighboring countries, there are student visas and transit visas. Regarding tourist visas and business visas, the Nepalese embassy distinguishes three durations. You can find the necessary information here:
- max. 15 days stay
- max. 30 days stay
- max. 90 days stay
From the date of issue, Nepal visas generally entitle multiple entries for a period of 180 days, i.e. entry must be made no later than 6 months. At the first border crossing, the immigration authorities may set a new duration. Exact validity must be taken from the visa entry in individual cases. The maximum length of stay applies per entry. For optional extensions - maximum of 150 days for tourists within a calendar year - contact the Department of Immigration in Kathmandu in good time before the existing travel permit expires. Travelers are obliged to ensure that they do not exceed the maximum length of stay.
Note: Starting from March 10th, Nepal will no longer issue Visa On Arrival to Germans!
According to a statement from the Nepalese embassy, German nationals will no longer receive Visa On Arrival and must therefore apply for a regular visa for Nepal if the duration of the visa-free stay is exceeded.
According to the statement from the Department of Immigration, the following countries are also affected:
- Japan
- Iran
- North Korea
- France
- Spain
