Please note that your visa or residence permit must be valid for at least another 180 days from the date of your arrival in Colombia.

If you are a citizen of one of the countries mentioned above, you can extend your stay in Colombia for an additional 90 days. This allows you to stay in the country for up to 180 days without a visa. However, there is no provision for a second extension.

Nicaraguan nationals residing in the Autonomous Regions of the Northern and Southern Caribbean Coast can enter Colombia without a visa. However, for Cuban nationals and holders of passports issued by Palestine, a transit visa must be obtained in advance if they plan to transit through the country.

Visitors over 6 years of age arriving in San Andres and Leticia are required to purchase tourist cards upon arrival.

Holders of diplomatic and official passports from Belarus, Cambodia, China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Iran, Lebanon, Myanmar (up to 90 days), Mongolia (up to 90 days), Morocco (up to 90 days), Oman, Philippines, Singapore (up to 90 days), Thailand (up to 90 days), Ukraine (up to 90 days) and Vietnam (up to 90 days), as well as holders of official Cuban passports, can stay in Colombia without a visa for up to 30 days.

All documents provided, with the exception of identity and travel documents, must have been issued at least three months prior to application.

Documents obtained abroad must be apostilled or legalized and officially translated into Spanish if not in that language. The translation must also be legalized or apostilled depending on the requirements.

If bank statements are required, they may be submitted without apostille or legalization and without a Spanish translation, provided the information in them is easily understood by the visa officer.

For criminal record certificates, it is sufficient to provide a certificate that complies with the procedures in the country of origin when applying to the Colombian consulate. When submitted to the Working Group on Internal Visas and Immigration, the certificate may require certification by the consulate of the country of origin in Colombia or apostille and legalization, depending on the situation.
