Madagascar introduces new electronic visa for tourists for 90 days
Madagascar is introducing a new electronic visa for tourists. Tourists will now be allowed to stay in the country for up to 90 days. Madagascar first launched an e-visa service in 2019, but it was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The service was re-launched in April 2023, the e-visa allowed foreign tourists to stay in Madagascar for up to 60 days and extend it for up to 90 days.
Now, however, if you are planning a longer stay in Madagascar, you will be able to stay longer. When you apply for a visa online, you can opt for an e-visa with an authorized stay of 90 days.
The Madagascar e-visa is a document that allows foreign nationals to apply for a visa online, without having to visit an embassy.
At the moment, the Madagascar e-visa is available exclusively for tourist travel. If your purpose of visit is other than tourism, you will need to apply for the appropriate type of visa.
