Air Samarkand launches charter and scheduled flights from Samarkand
Air Samarkand plans to expand its operations and offer new charter and scheduled flights from Samarkand over the next 12 months. This will connect the city to countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey, Vietnam and China and will also expand to Europe by 2024.
Samarkand is attracting great interest from business people and tourists due to its unique combination of ancient heritage and modern infrastructure. One of the founders of Air Samarkand explains this change: "Uzbekistan has seen a significant increase in private initiatives, particularly in the redevelopment of the ancient city of Samarkand, which is world famous for its role on the Great Silk Road. The conditions created by the country's government have made it possible to fully realize Samarkand's potential. We have improved the city's airport and made it more convenient for locals and foreign visitors arriving by air. We are also developing Samarkand's transportation infrastructure, including the establishment of new airlines such as Air Samarkand. Our initiative is aimed at unlocking Samarkand's potential in tourism, trade, research and other sectors.
Air Samarkand aims to compete with other established airlines by offering a wide range of services at affordable prices and meeting the needs of passengers.
The airport is located just eight kilometers from the city, giving tourists quick access to the thriving shopping hub on the famous Silk Road. Samarkand has many ancient and medieval sights to offer, both in the city itself and in neighboring regions such as Bukhara, Khiva, Shakhrisabz and Zaamin National Park. Here tourists can enjoy the sight of ancient mosques, medieval treasures, historical monuments and museum exhibitions reflecting the past centuries. From here begins a fascinating journey into history, where tourists can discover an amazing variety of cultural and architectural treasures.
