Belarus introduces electronic visas for travelers from the EU and other countries

Belarus introduced an electronic visa for foreign citizens from March 20, 2025. This important innovation aims to simplify the visa application process, allowing travelers and businessmen to apply online.

The e-visa has the following characteristics:

• Stay up to 30 days
• Single entry
• Individual format
• Suitable for various purposes: business trips, participation in sports, cultural and scientific events, as well as for tourism and personal matters.

When calculating the stay in Belarus, it should be noted that arrival and departure days are considered full days.

Visa can be obtained by holders of regular passports from 67 countries, including European Union countries, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and the United Kingdom. This is great news for travelers wishing to visit Belarus!

The application for an electronic visa must be submitted no later than 7 calendar days before the intended entry date. After approval, the visa must be printed out or saved in digital format and presented upon entry into the country. It will be valid at all international checkpoints, including airports in Minsk, Brest, Gomel, Grodno, Mogilev, and Vitebsk, as well as through road and rail checkpoints.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus also emphasized that all previously introduced visa-free regimes will be valid until December 31, 2025, providing additional opportunities for convenient trip planning.

With the introduction of the e-visa, entry into the country will now be easier and more convenient for many travelers, opening up new horizons for tourism, business trips, and participation in various events.
