Especially for non-tourist travel purposes, it is advisable to arrange the visa in advance to prevent problems at the border crossing. Some airlines may check the presence of visas with their passengers before boarding.
How long is a visa for Uganda valid?
Visas applied for before the trip to Uganda generally allow stays of up to 90 days. In individual cases, the data on the visa note must be observed.
When is the right time to apply for the visa?
Visas for Uganda are usually valid for up to 90 days and for a single entry or up to 180 days for multiple entries, depending on the travel itinerary. The validity period describes the time within which entry must take place. The maximum stay of 90 days remains unaffected. Vaccination is mandatory for those entering from a yellow fever area - e.g. from a neighboring state of Uganda - or whose passport indicates a stay in such an area. Visitors are advised to consult a doctor well in advance of their departure and, if necessary, update their basic protection.
