With the new electronic tourist visa, tourists can stay in Saudi Arabia for up to 3 months per entry. It is important to note that one cannot stay in the country for more than 90 days (consecutively) per year. The e-Visa for Saudi Arabia, valid for one year, allows tourists to enter multiple times.

As mentioned, the rules in the Muslim-influenced country of Saudi Arabia are relatively strict, and as a tourist, you should adhere to the following rules to have a pleasant stay.

Clothing:
Men and women should dress modestly in public, avoiding tight-fitting clothing. Clothing with inappropriate motifs in words and writing should be left in the closet. Women should cover their shoulders and knees in public.

Behavior in public
Expressions of affection such as hugging or kissing should be avoided in public. This behavior does not align with the local understanding of culture and relationships. Also, attention should be paid to expressions. Vulgar or blasphemous expressions or gestures can be strictly punished.

Religion and customs
Five times a day, music is turned off in public places for prayer, and shops also temporarily close during prayer times. During the fasting month of Ramadan, Muslims fast, and it would be very respectful if you as a visitor could also avoid or limit eating and drinking during the day in direct contact with residents.

Alcohol and intoxicating substances
The sale, purchase, and consumption of alcohol are prohibited in Saudi Arabia. It is illegal to bring or publicly consume alcohol or drugs.
