The Transit Visa Saudi Arabia allows foreign visitors to transit through the Kingdom in the Middle East on their way to another destination. It is intended for travel by air, land, or sea. Women will only receive transit visas if they are traveling with a male companion (e.g. husband).

Airport transit is usually visa-free for Europeans for up to 72 hours, as long as travelers have confirmed onward tickets and do not leave the airport's transit area. Please check with your airline and/or the Saudi embassy in your home country before traveling.

Transit visa applications can be made no earlier than 10 days before the planned arrival in Saudi Arabia.

The transit visa for Saudi Arabia is available for single or multiple transits, each for a maximum of 3 days. This means that for multiple entries, the 72 hours are to be distributed across all stays.
