Indonesian tourist visa is one of the visitor visas. It allows foreign travelers to stay on the territory of the world's largest island nation for a limited period of time for tourist purposes.

Important: new requirements for entry into Indonesia

As of August 30, 2024, the Indonesian Ministry of Health has introduced new obligations for anyone intending to visit the country. To prevent the spread of smallpox, all passengers are required to complete an electronic self-declaration form called SATUSEHAT Health Pass.

The form is available on the ministry's official website and is offered in English and French. Remember to fill it in at least 48 hours before entry. Once completed, you will receive a QR code to present at passport control.

Duration of stay and visa validity

The Consular Section issues tourist visas for up to 8 weeks. The period of stay is indicated on the visa and starts on the day of arrival in Indonesia. The validity of the visa is calculated from the date of issuance and is 3 months. During this period, single or multiple entries are allowed (subject to application and authorization). The visa expiration date ("Expiration Date") is the latest possible date of entry.

A photocopy of the airline ticket for departure and return
or a travel plan from a travel agency indicating entry and exit dates

Confirmation of funding

Copy of a document proving sufficient financial resources (e.g. pay slip, pension account statement, current bank statement)
