Since the opening of borders with the Maldives on July 15, 2020, the country's immigration service has introduced a new mandatory requirement for all travelers - the "Declaration of Health". Its main purpose is to facilitate the provision of medical information prior to arrival and departure from the Maldives in accordance with local medical standards.

Anyone intending to visit or leave the Maldives is required to complete a declaration of their current health status at least 24 hours prior to travel. This requirement applies to all categories of travelers without exception - tourists, holders of work and other types of visas, as well as citizens of the Maldives itself.

In the Maldives, a traveler's declaration grants you the right to stay in the country for up to 30 days. However, the declaration itself is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. This means that within this three-month period, you can make a trip of any duration up to 30 days.
