Visas to Mongolia

If you plan to travel to Mongolia for up to 30 days, then a visa is not required. You must have a passport that is valid for six months after the end of the trip. The country's authorities accept children's and temporary passports.

If you plan to stay in Mongolia longer than 30 days, take care of visa registration. Tourist visa is required for visiting for tourism and business purposes. It can be issued for 30 to 90 days.

When you need to travel for work, you will need to apply for a business visa. The supporting document should be an invitation to various work events or employment from a Mongolian company, certified by the immigration service.

If you plan to travel to Mongolia for study, you will need to apply for a student visa, and there must be a document of enrollment in an educational institution.

There is also a transit visa for traveling to another country through Mongolia. It is allowed to stay in the country for no more than 7 days one way. This visa format is issued for single, double or multiple entries.

Travel immunizations

Vaccination is not strictly required to visit Mongolia, but it is recommended to check for a number of diseases: diphtheria-tetanus, measles, mumps, rubella, typhoid, influenza, hepatitis A and B, meningococcal disease, rabies, and Japanese encephalitis, which can be contracted when living for a month or more in rural areas.
