E-visa for Bhutan
Starting January 1, 2020, all visa applications for Bhutan must be submitted online. All visitors, except citizens of India, Bangladesh and Maldives (for whom there are separate processes and fees), are required to apply for a visa to travel to Bhutan.
As part of the visa application process, a Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) of US$100 per day for adults is required (discounted rates apply for children). More information on the SDF can be found here.

The Department of Immigration will refund SDF for canceled or shortened trips less bank charges. Application for SDF refunds must be made through the online immigration system. Refunds are processed after guests have departed the Kingdom.
