Conditions of visas for transit purposes
To apply for a transit visa at the Indian embassy, you will need proof of your transit or onward journey. This can be provided, for example, in the form of copies of the flight tickets for the connecting flights to your destination country. Persons of Indian origin are also required to present a so-called "Surrender Certificate".
The visa for transit in India is not available at the border. The visa application must be submitted to the Indian diplomatic missions in Germany before departure.
