Singapore visa

A visa to Singapore may be required for most foreign nationals planning to explore this unique city-state, whether for tourism, business or educational purposes. The type of visa and the list of required documents will depend on the specific purpose of your visit.

Singapore has several types of visas, including tourist visas, business visas, student visas and transit visas. Each type of visa has different document requirements and conditions of stay. For example, a tourist visa usually allows a stay of up to 30 days, while a student visa can be issued for a longer period.

The Singapore visa application process starts with filling out an electronic visa application form. This greatly simplifies the process and saves time by avoiding common filling errors. After completing the online application form, you will need to prepare and submit a number of documents, such as a valid passport, photographs in the appropriate format and, if necessary, proof of airfare and accommodation bookings.

The cost of a Singapore visa varies depending on the type of visa, its validity period and the urgency of processing. It is important to plan your trip in advance and apply for a visa in time to avoid additional costs for urgent processing.

Important: Foreign nationals must complete a health declaration at least 3 days prior to arrival in Singapore via the official website or mobile app. Additional details can be found at the link.

Singapore Electronic Arrival Card (SG Arrival Card)

All foreign nationals planning to visit Singapore must apply for the mandatory Singapore Electronic Arrival Card before entering the country. The SG Arrival Card is issued by completing an online application form. Once approved, it acts as a one-time electronic entry permit and is linked to the applicant's passport. This allows travelers to pass through border control faster at Singapore's air, land and sea ports of entry.
The online form requires personal details, passport information, travel details and expected date of arrival. It is recommended that you carry an electronic copy of your SG Arrival Card with you when traveling to Singapore.
Upon arrival, the same passport that was used to complete the online check-in must be presented. Additional documents may also be required - return ticket, proof of sufficient funds, yellow fever vaccination certificate, etc.

It is important to understand that the SG Arrival Card is not a visa. Some travelers will additionally need to apply for an electronic visa (eVisa) or an embassy visa depending on their nationality and purpose of travel.
