How long is my ETA valid for?

Can I check the status of my ETA online? How do I know if my authorization for my next trip is valid?

You can check your status on the ETA website using your personalized control number. If you order your visa online through us, we will provide you with the necessary access data.

I have not required a visa with payment for previous entries. Is there any way to avoid the need for a visa?
