Two Ways to Apply for a Tourist Visa

1. The traditional tourist visa

The visa must be applied for before the trip. The traditional way to apply for a visa leads applicants to the consular department of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Berlin or another consular mission of Azerbaijan abroad. The relevant authorities request a number of documents and issue the entry visa into the traveler's passport upon approval of the application.

2. The electronic tourist visa

Alternatively, the State of Azerbaijan offers tourists the opportunity to enter with an electronic visa (e-Visa). E-Visas are not available at embassies or consulates, but are exclusively applied for online.

What are the requirements for the "classic visa application"?

In order to submit a visa application to the Embassy of Azerbaijan on your behalf, we will need from you, in addition to the usual documents such as application form, passport, and passport photos, a written confirmation of a hotel reservation in Azerbaijan. It is necessary that this is issued directly by the accommodation. Reservations made through online platforms are not sufficient, as they can usually be canceled at short notice. In addition, copies of the outbound and return flight tickets, as well as, depending on the employment status, a payslip, a pension, student, or student certificate, must be presented.

What validity do tourist visas have?

The tourist visa for Azerbaijan is valid for a minimum of three and maximum of 30 days. It allows for a single entry and exit. The actual approved length of stay depends on your hotel confirmation.
