Does Ecuador require a visa?
Ecuador has a lenient visa policy. Citizens of most countries can enter and stay in Ecuador without a visa, but only for up to 90 days. Special Tourist Visa
This visa is a single entry visa and allows travelers from visa-free countries to enter Ecuador and stay for a maximum of 180 days. A 180-day tourist visa can only be obtained once every five years.
The Ecuador Temporary Resident Visa is a type of long-term visa intended for foreign nationals wishing to permanently reside, study, work or retire in Ecuador. It can be issued for a period of up to two years and has the possibility of renewal before it expires.
