China has approved visa-free entry for citizens of nine additional countries
China has officially confirmed the expansion of visa-free travel for 9 new countries. The decision will come into force on November 8, 2024.
Citizens of South Korea, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Slovakia, Andorra, Monaco and Liechtenstein will now be able to enter China without a visa for up to 15 days for tourism, business travel, family visits or transit.
China's Foreign Ministry also says that the rule will remain in effect until December 31, 2025, the same as for the previously approved countries.
As a reminder, China has been pursuing an active policy to promote tourism and personnel exchanges with European and other countries since the beginning of 2024. As part of this program, China has already introduced visa-free travel for 6 European countries from March 2024. Also, starting from July 2024, 15 more countries, including Germany and other European countries, have been added to the visa-free list.
