Legalization for Russia

A deed, certificate or document is recognized in Russia only if it is notarized. The apostille, which came into force in Russia on May 31, 1992, serves as proof of authenticity. The opposite is also possible, i.e. Russian documents and certificates can also be legalized for Germany. This is a special stamp that simplifies the legalization of official documents in Germany and many other countries.

Embassies and consulates general are not the competent authorities to perform apostille and legalization of documents, as their functions cover other aspects. In addition to documents, the competent apostille authorities also require a translation, which you must notarize. This requires a sworn or authorized translator from Germany. Russian translators are not accepted in Germany. Translators cannot legalize copies.

Since legalization can be a complicated procedure, we recommend using our low-cost legalization service. Our partners are sworn translators and we have excellent contacts with various apostille authorities. You will receive the required apostille stamp quickly and without any complications.
