Fill in the Kazakhstan visa application correctly

Anyone who applies for a visa at a consular mission is required to fill out the official two-page application form completely on the PC or in block letters. Subsequent corrections should be avoided. Instead of crossing out incorrect information, it is recommended to reprint the application. You will receive the visa application for Kazakhstan from us directly with the order confirmation. Below, we provide brief notes on how to complete the visa application correctly, taking into account common questions and mistakes.

Before you fill out the visa application for Kazakhstan, please have your passport and, if available, other travel documents ready.

(Points 1. to 9.)
When entering your personal information, it is especially important that you enter all data exactly as listed in your passport. Please only fill in field 3 if other family or first names are listed in your passport, e.g. a maiden or birth name. Under 8., please check the box for your marital status. Item 9 is, of course, only to be completed if applicable.

(points 10 to 12)
You must provide your home address and a valid telephone number. Field 11 is also a mandatory field. Enter your occupation here and, under 12, the address and telephone number of your employer. If you are currently not employed, enter your occupation or education and/or the word “unemployed”. In this case, you can leave field 12 blank or cross it out.

If you are a student, please enter “Student” (11.) as well as the name and contact details of your university (12.). If you are a housewife, you can enter “housewife” and state your home address under place of work. If you are retired, enter “retired” and leave point 12 blank.

(Points 13. to 14.)
As with the information about yourself, make sure that the details on your passport match those in your ID document exactly. Put a cross next to “Passport” – this indicates a normal passport.

As a German, you can simply leave point 14 blank. If you have a foreign passport but are resident in Germany, tick “yes” and provide details of your residence permit or registration certificate (number and validity).

(Points 15. to 16)
Tick 15. truthfully. If you have already been to Kazakhstan, briefly state the reason for your trip: e.g. “Tourism”, “Private visit”, “Business” etc.

Please note the information on the mandatory fields 17. to 22.

(Points 17.)
Be sure to enter the purpose of your trip here, because it determines the type of visa. A brief statement is sufficient: e.g. “tourist”, “private”, “business”, “transit”, etc. Answer question 16.

(item 18.)
18. is a mandatory field for private or business trips. If you are applying for a private visa, please provide the full name, address and telephone number of the inviting person in Kazakhstan. For a business trip (business visa), the information about the inviting organization is mandatory. If you are traveling as a tourist or planning a transit, you can simply leave the field blank.

(Points 19 to 20)
Under 19., state at least one place of stay or several destinations in Kazakhstan – if already known. It is not necessary to name all places. The visa is valid for the whole of Kazakhstan. Under point 20., state the place of entry.

(Point 21.)
Enter a private address or a hotel in Kazakhstan here.

(Point 22.)
Enter here who is paying for your trip, e.g. “self” or “self-financed”, “company” etc.

(Point 23.)
If you have health insurance for Kazakhstan, you can enter it here. It is possible to tick “no” because insurance is not mandatory.

(item 24.)
This field is to be filled in only by transit travelers (transit visa). The transit line refers to the travel route, which should be indicated in note form. The date for leaving Kazakhstan should be entered under “Crossing the border checkpoint”.

(Points 25. to 26.)
Important: Enter your entry and exit dates to receive a visa for the entire duration of your trip. Select the number of planned entries under Number of visits.

(item 27.)
Item 27 is always left blank. Entries for children in their parents' passports are no longer valid. A separate application form must be completed for each minor.
