Service visas for Kazakhstan - Type B1, B2 and B3

For individuals who do not have diplomatic status but possess a service passport and are traveling to Kazakhstan for work, there is the so-called Service visa. The Kazakh authorities distinguish three subcategories within the visas for officially and sent on business trips by a state or an international organization.

Choose the right service visa

Visa Type B1

Visa Type B1 is intended for the following group of people:

Members of official foreign delegations and accompanying persons
Individuals invited to Kazakhstan by government authorities

Visa Type B2

For Visa Type B2, one of the following criteria must be met:

Holders of passports from international organizations that do not have a diplomatic status
Employees of international organizations
Holders of official passports traveling to Kazakhstan on official business, for example, to solve problems
Diplomatic couriers without a diplomatic passport
Military personnel
Individuals traveling on business in Kazakhstan on the invitation of a foreign diplomatic mission, consular officer, or international organization and accredited
Representatives of foreign mass media accredited in Kazakhstan and traveling under the instructions of Kazakh authorities

Visa Type B3

The authorities issue the B3 Visa to the following individuals:

Administrative staff, technical or service personnel of diplomatic missions
Employees of international organizations and their representatives
Consular staff
Members of consular institutions accredited in Kazakhstan and their family members

Validity, Stay and Entry with Service Visas

The Embassy of Kazakhstan determines the duration of the visa for each individual case. The decisive criterion for the decision is the Verbal Note that all applicants need.

Service Visa B1

single entry, valid for up to 90 days, stay up to 30 days
multiple entries, valid for up to 3 years, maximum stay of 90 days per entry

Service Visa B2

single entry, valid for up to 90 days, stay up to 30 days
multiple entries, valid for up to 3 years, maximum stay of 30 days per entry

Service Visa B3

Multiple entry visa, valid for 90 days within half a year (180 days), stay up to 90 days (for longer stays, accreditation by the Republic of Kazakhstan is required)
