K1, K2 or K3 - which visa do you need?

Visa Type K1

The visa type K1 is intended for individuals who intend to move to their family members with Kazakh citizenship.

Visa Type K2

Former Kazakh citizens who intend to reunite with or meet their relatives still living in Kazakhstan receive the Family Reunification Visa K2.

Visa Type K3

Category K3 is for foreign applicants whose family members live in Kazakhstan but do not have Kazakh citizenship. This includes stateless individuals and business people working in Kazakhstan.

Validity and allowed length of stay

The family visas K1, K2 and K3 are valid for 1 year. The duration corresponds to the maximum length of stay. All visa holders are allowed multiple entries to Kazakhstan, i.e. the periods of visits can be chosen flexibly.
