Missionary visa Kazakhstan

The Missionary Visa is reserved for travelers engaging in missionary work and religious activities in Kazakhstan. The visa application must be submitted in a timely manner before the trip. Applicants are required to submit their documents in person or through an accredited visa agency at the Kazakh embassy or a relevant consulate. The visa for missionary purposes comes in three different versions:

• Visa Type E1 is issued to applicants traveling to the Republic of Kazakhstan to engage in religious activities.
• Visa Category E2 is for individuals visiting Kazakhstan to carry out missionary work.
• Category E3 is issued by the Kazakh authorities to accompanying family members of travelers with the E2 visa.

To apply for the visa, you need a letter from a spiritual or religious community with details of the purpose of the trip, destination, and duration of stay. In some cases - mostly for longer visits - an invitation from a Kazakh host with certification from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan is also required.
