To apply for an e-visa, travelers must provide basic information such as their full name, personal phone number, email address and passport information. Once approved, the e-visa allows you to stay in Cuba for up to 90 days with the option to extend your stay in Cuba for an additional 3 months.

Do I need a visa for Cuba?
In August 2024, Cuba announced the launch of the e-Visa system, which can be applied for online.
However, until the end of 2024, citizens of Germany and other EU countries, as well as many other countries, can apply for a tourist card to Cuba (Tarjeta del Turista). This card replaces a visa and can be obtained from travel agencies or airlines. The tourist card is valid for 180 days from the date of issuance and entitles you to stay in the country for 30 days. The period of stay in Cuba can be extended for a maximum of 30 days. The Tourist Card is no longer issued for entry at the Cuban border, so you should take care of this in advance before traveling.
If you book a package tour, you can get one automatically when you book through a travel agency. When you arrive in Cuba, part of the tourist card is separated and stamped. You will receive the other half back. Please keep this part of your Cuba tourist card because when you leave the country, it will be stamped again.
Important: the usual compulsory German insurance is not accepted. We also recommend an accompanying policy in Spanish. A policy, certificate or card from the relevant insurance company is usually sufficient as proof.
